What's Open Source? Open Source is the pragmatic approach to free software. It entitles certain rights such as the source code be available for anybody to change. The right to make changes to the software; and to distribute it free of charge. The Free Software movement was started by Richard Stallman of the FSF (Free Software Foundation). Free Software means freedom; not free of price. Many people confuse this. The developers can make money off of Open Source. SourceForge is an Open Source site.
